Before you get here

What helps in the meantime.

  1. 01

    A knocked-out adult tooth

Hold it by the crown, not the root. If you can, put it back in the socket. If not, keep it in milk and come straight in.

  2. 02

    Swelling

Phone the office. Swelling that is spreading, or that affects your breathing or swallowing, is a hospital emergency — go to an emergency department.

  3. 03

    A broken tooth

Rinse with warm water and keep any pieces. Avoid chewing on that side until you are seen.
